CCI IW107 Screen Wash / Ink Degradent - 5 Gallon
High-solvency, water-soluble screen wash and ink degradent engineered to remove plastisol, solvent-based, poster, UV, and vinyl inks while helping reduce mesh staining and ghost images during screen reclaiming.
Characteristics
The CCI IW107 Screen Wash / Ink Degradent is a professional water-soluble ink degradent formulated for effective screen cleaning and reclaiming applications. Its high-solvency formula is highly effective on plastisol, multi-purpose solvent-based, poster, UV, and vinyl screen printing inks, making it a versatile cleaning solution for textile, graphic, and industrial screen printing operations.
IW107 is designed to remove ink residue while helping protect screen mesh from deep staining and ghost images left behind by printed artwork. Reducing these stains during the ink-removal process can make complete screen reclamation easier and help prepare valuable screens for reuse.
In addition to its use as an ink degradent and screen wash, IW107 is an effective plastisol ink haze and ghost-image remover. The formula aggressively attacks image stains remaining in the mesh while being designed for safe use on screen printing mesh.
IW107 offers excellent flexibility in production environments and can be used with recirculating screen wash systems, dip tanks, immersion cleaning processes, and automatic reclaiming equipment. For manual cleaning, it can also be applied using a scrub pad, spray bottle, or pneumatic pump system.
Its combination of low odor, high solvency, high load capacity, and high flash point makes IW107 well suited for professional screen rooms processing screens on a regular basis. The high load capacity allows the chemistry to handle significant ink contamination before becoming excessively soiled, helping improve chemical efficiency in compatible recirculating applications.
IW107 is non-flammable, non-corrosive, mesh safe, and APEO/NPEO free, providing screen printers with a versatile multi-purpose chemistry for routine ink removal, screen washing, and stubborn image-stain removal.

- Card or scrape excessive ink from the screen before applying IW107 to reduce chemical consumption.
- For sink washout, apply IW107 to the ink side of the screen and agitate the ink using a non-abrasive scrub brush or pad.
- Work the chemistry on both sides of the screen as needed to thoroughly break down remaining ink.
- Rinse the screen thoroughly using high-pressure water after cleaning.
- When pressure washing, work from the bottom of the screen upward to help prevent loosened ink from locking back onto the mesh when it contacts rinse water.
- For haze and ghost-image removal, first remove the ink and emulsion from the screen.
- Apply IW107 to both sides of the reclaimed screen and scrub with a non-abrasive brush or pad.
- Allow the product to dwell for a few minutes depending on the severity of the remaining stain, then pressure rinse thoroughly.
- In recirculating systems, IW107 can be continuously reused until the solution becomes excessively contaminated with ink solids.
- Used recirculating chemistry may be filtered and reused when appropriate.
- Always consult the current Safety Data Sheet and Technical Data Sheet before use and follow recommended handling procedures.
