Characteristics
The Mimaki CJV300-130 54" Print and Cut is a professional wide-format integrated printer/cutter designed to deliver high-speed printing, excellent image quality, and precision contour cutting from a single production platform.
Engineered for sign shops, graphics producers, print service providers, vehicle graphics installers, and other professional wide-format operations, the CJV300-130 combines printing and cutting into one streamlined workflow. This allows many graphics to be printed and contour cut without transferring the media to a separate cutting plotter.
The CJV300-130 provides a maximum print/cut width of 53.5" (1,361 mm) and accommodates media up to 53.9" (1,371 mm) wide, making it well suited for producing vehicle graphics, signs, banners, decals, stickers, labels, window graphics, posters, point-of-purchase displays, wall graphics, and other commercial graphics.
At the heart of the CJV300 Series are two staggered on-demand piezo printheads engineered to provide both high productivity and detailed image reproduction. Multiple selectable resolutions ranging from 360 dpi through 1440 dpi allow operators to balance production speed and image quality according to the application.
The integrated cutting system provides professional contour-cutting capabilities directly within the printer. Mimaki incorporated functions such as over-cut, corner-cut, segment correction, and cut-and-print to improve cutting accuracy and workflow efficiency. Segment correction is particularly useful for maintaining cutting precision on longer graphics.
For applications requiring clean corners and accurately finished graphics, the over-cut and corner-cut functions help produce clearly cut edges. The machine's cut-and-print workflow can also cut the media before printing when appropriate, helping reduce potential printing issues associated with certain media and production conditions.
The CJV300 Series supports a broad selection of ink configurations. Depending on machine configuration and regional availability, the platform was designed for SS21 and ES3 eco-solvent inks, along with additional ink systems. SS21 configurations included options for CMYK as well as expanded-gamut colors such as Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Light Black, Orange, White, and Silver.
Mimaki's MCT – Mimaki Circulation Technology is used with White and Silver ink configurations to circulate ink through the system, helping maintain pigment stability and consistent ink delivery.
Media handling supports material up to 1.0 mm thick and roll media weighing up to 88 lb (40 kg), giving the CJV300-130 the versatility needed for a broad range of professional roll-fed graphics applications.
The machine also provides the resolution and color capabilities needed for detailed commercial graphics. Depending on the selected production mode, operators can prioritize speed for high-volume work or use higher-resolution modes for graphics requiring fine details, smooth gradients, small text, and precise image reproduction.
With its combination of professional wide-format printing, integrated contour cutting, flexible ink configurations, high-resolution output, and 54" media capability, the Mimaki CJV300-130 provides a versatile production solution for shops producing everything from everyday decals and labels to vehicle graphics and large-format signage.

- Select the appropriate print resolution based on the required balance between production speed and finished image quality.
- Use higher-resolution modes for small text, detailed graphics, gradients, photographic images, and other applications requiring fine image reproduction.
- Use lower-resolution production modes when increased throughput is more important than maximum image detail.
- Match the selected print profile to the specific media and ink configuration being used.
- Perform regular nozzle checks to verify printhead condition before beginning important production jobs.
- Maintain the printheads, capping station, wipers, and surrounding maintenance areas according to Mimaki's recommended maintenance procedures.
- Keep compatible cleaning supplies available for routine printer maintenance.
- When using White or Silver ink configurations, follow Mimaki's procedures for maintaining the ink circulation system.
- Allow eco-solvent prints adequate outgassing time before lamination when required by the ink, media, and application.
- Use the integrated contour-cutting system for decals, stickers, labels, vehicle graphics, and other applications requiring finished cut edges.
- Verify cutting pressure and blade depth when changing media types.
- Use only enough blade exposure to cleanly cut the face material without unnecessarily cutting through the release liner.
- Perform test cuts when changing media, laminate thickness, or cutting blades.
- Use segment correction when appropriate for longer print-and-cut graphics to help maintain contour-cutting accuracy.
- Keep pinch rollers and media-feed surfaces clean to support consistent media tracking.
- Load roll media squarely and confirm proper tension before beginning long production runs.
- Store compatible inks and media according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain the recommended operating environment of 68°F–86°F and 35–65% relative humidity for dependable printing performance.
- Confirm the installed ink configuration before ordering replacement ink because CJV300 machines may have been configured with different ink sets.
- For used equipment, verify printhead condition, nozzle performance, cutting operation, ink configuration, maintenance history, and included RIP/software before placing the machine into production.
