High-opacity, bleed-resistant white plastisol ink formulated for printing on 100% polyester garments, delivering a bright white finish, smooth printability, and dependable performance as an underbase or highlight white.

Characteristics

Triangle Ink 1706 Excel Poly White is a professional-grade plastisol ink from Triangle Ink's Excel White Series, specifically formulated for printing on 100% polyester garments. Its bleed-resistant formulation helps minimize dye migration that can discolor conventional white plastisol inks when printed on polyester fabrics.

Excel Poly White provides a bright, opaque white finish with a creamy body designed for smooth screen clearing and consistent ink deposit. Triangle Ink identifies 1706 as the higher-viscosity version within the Excel White Series, making it well suited for applications where strong opacity and controlled ink deposit are important.

The ink can be printed through mesh counts ranging from approximately 86 to 200, providing flexibility for heavier underbases as well as more detailed applications. It works well as either an underbase or highlight white and can also be used for direct white printing.

Designed for dependable production performance, Excel Poly White is suitable for manual and automatic screen printing presses. Its formulation supports clean screen clearing and helps resist ink buildup during long production runs, making it an excellent choice for printing athletic apparel, performance garments, sportswear, and polyester jerseys.

Usage Tips ▼
  • Mix Before Printing: Stir the ink thoroughly before production to restore a smooth, consistent printing consistency.
  • Mesh Selection: Select mesh count based on the desired ink deposit and artwork detail. The product-specific recommended range is approximately 86–200 mesh.
  • Ink Deposit: Lower mesh counts generally produce a heavier ink deposit for stronger opacity, while higher mesh counts can provide greater detail and a more controlled deposit.
  • Underbase Printing: Use Excel Poly White as an underbase beneath additional plastisol colors when printing multi-color designs on polyester garments.
  • Highlight White: Apply as a highlight white when additional brightness and opacity are needed in multi-color designs.
  • Garment Testing: Always test the ink on the actual garment before beginning production to confirm bleed resistance, adhesion, opacity, and curing performance.
  • Flash Settings: Avoid unnecessary excessive heat during flashing. Elevated garment temperatures can contribute to dye migration on polyester fabrics.
  • Production Consistency: Maintain consistent squeegee pressure, off-contact, flash conditions, and dryer settings throughout production.
  • Proper Curing: Follow the manufacturer's applicable cure specifications and verify complete curing throughout the entire ink film.
  • Wash Testing: Perform wash and adhesion testing before beginning full production.
Important Printing Information ▼
  • Polyester Applications: Excel Poly White is specifically formulated for printing on 100% polyester garments.
  • Dye Migration Resistance: Its bleed-resistant formulation helps minimize discoloration caused by polyester garment dyes.
  • Production Testing: Polyester dyes and garment construction can vary significantly. Test the actual garment using the intended ink deposit, flash settings, and dryer conditions before beginning production.
  • Heat Management: Avoid unnecessary excessive heat during flashing and curing because elevated garment temperatures may contribute to dye migration.
  • Cure Requirements: Confirm the applicable cure conditions for Excel Poly White before production. Do not undercure the ink in an attempt to prevent dye migration.
  • Complete Cure: Verify that the entire ink film reaches the required cure conditions. Dryer temperature settings alone do not confirm complete curing.
  • Print Durability: Conduct wash and adhesion testing to confirm proper curing and finished-print durability.
  • Storage: Store at room temperature and keep away from heat sources.
