SKU DH-WAX-BX

OEM phase-change solid wax formulated specifically for Douthitt Computer-to-Screen imaging systems, providing high-density, consistent direct-to-screen imaging for accurate exposures and repeatable screen production.

Characteristics

Douthitt Direct-To-Screen Wax is the replacement imaging consumable designed specifically for Douthitt Computer-to-Screen (CTS) systems. Supplied in a convenient box of 10, the solid wax is used by compatible Douthitt CTS equipment to digitally image artwork directly onto emulsion-coated screen printing screens.

Douthitt's CTS technology uses phase-change solid wax print-head technology to create the image directly on the screen, eliminating the need to produce and handle traditional film positives. This helps streamline prepress production while reducing film costs, handling, and storage requirements.

The consistency and density of the wax are important parts of the Douthitt imaging process. The wax produces a high-density image that effectively blocks exposure light, allowing the surrounding emulsion to be properly exposed and hardened while preserving the digitally imaged areas of the stencil.

Consistent wax deposition also contributes to improved image detail and repeatability. This makes the Douthitt CTS workflow particularly useful for production environments requiring dependable registration, fine image reproduction, halftones, spot-color artwork, and repeat jobs.

Because the image is generated digitally, artwork can be positioned and reproduced consistently from screen to screen. This repeatability can help reduce registration setup time at the printing press and improve overall screen-room productivity.

Douthitt Direct-To-Screen Wax is intended specifically for compatible Douthitt CTS imaging equipment and should be stored and handled according to Douthitt recommendations to maintain reliable imaging performance.
