Chromaline Pro/Cap 38, 26"x180' Roll Cap Film
38-micron diazo capillary film engineered for consistent stencil thickness, sharp image definition, and durable general-purpose screen printing on 200–305 mesh screens.
Characteristics
Chromaline Pro/Cap® 38 is a premium pre-sensitized diazo capillary film designed for screen printers who demand consistent stencil thickness, excellent edge definition, and dependable durability without the variability of liquid emulsions. Manufactured on a clear polyester carrier, Pro/Cap 38 produces an exceptionally smooth stencil surface that delivers clean image reproduction and repeatable print quality across long production runs.
The 38-micron (1.5 mil) stencil thickness makes Pro/Cap 38 an excellent general-purpose capillary film for textile, graphic, industrial, and specialty printing applications. It is optimized for mesh counts between 200 and 305, providing an ideal balance between ink deposit, image sharpness, and stencil durability. The uniform coating eliminates inconsistencies commonly associated with hand-coated emulsions while helping improve print consistency from screen to screen.
Application is simple and repeatable. The film is applied to a properly prepared wet screen where capillary action draws the emulsion into the mesh, creating a uniform stencil with minimal waste and cleanup. Once exposed and developed, the polyester carrier is removed, leaving a flat, durable printing surface capable of producing excellent detail throughout extended production runs.
The 26" × 180' roll format is ideal for high-volume screen rooms and production facilities that regularly process multiple screen sizes. Roll stock allows custom-length cuts while reducing material waste and inventory requirements compared to pre-cut sheets.
